Xin Wang

Xin Wang is a cultural manager who has successfully led a range of international cultural and performance projects. From 2018 to 2020, she organized the Chinese Ball at the Vienna Hofburg, facilitating the participation of prominent Austrian conductors, artists, and art groups, and promoting deeper cultural exchange between China and Austria. In addition, she has coordinated several forums aimed at fostering collaboration between international orchestras. Since 2021, she has served as Managing Director of the Sino Austrian Association of Music.

In partnership with the Stadttheater Bad Hall, Ms. Wang produced Franz Lehár’s operetta The Land of Smiles and organized an exhibition featuring the works of Chinese artist Tang Yongli. She has also facilitated cultural exchange by bringing Austrian ensembles and artists, including the Vienna Boys’ Choir and the Austrian Classical Chamber Orchestra, to China. In 2024, she is overseeing tours by Chinese art groups in Austria, with performances scheduled at prominent venues such as the Vienna Konzerthaus and Musikverein.

As an opera singer, Ms. Wang has performed with orchestras such as the Sofia Philharmonic, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, and Shanghai Philharmonic. Her roles include Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte, Alcina in Handel’s Alcina, and Mi in The Land of Smiles. She has appeared in concert venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Vienna Musikverein, and the Brucknerhaus.

Ms. Wang has earned recognition in international competitions, including first prize at the 1st International Opera Competition Hong Kong. In 2022, she released an album celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Austria and completed a recording of Anton Diabelli’s complete songs for voice and guitar. She holds degrees from the Music and Arts Private University of Vienna, the Anton Bruckner Private University, and the China Central Conservatory of Music.
